Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Who is responsible
The controller of your data is Bartłomiej Komendarczuk, a private individual running Better Status Page as an open-source project, not a company. Contact: [email protected]. This policy covers betterstatuspage.dev, the documentation at docs.betterstatuspage.dev and the public demo at demo.betterstatuspage.dev.
This website and the documentation
- I do not keep access logs of visits to these sites, and I use no advertising, tracking cookies or profiling.
- The site is delivered through Cloudflare (DNS, encryption, caching and protection against attacks). To do that, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data. Cloudflare Web Analytics is switched on: it counts visits and measures page speed without cookies and, according to Cloudflare, without storing IP addresses.
- Your theme and language choice are saved in your browser only and are never sent to me.
- Fonts and icons are served from these sites and from the demo itself. Links to GitHub, the documentation and other sites lead to services with their own policies.
The public demo
When you start the demo, you get a private instance of Better Status Page for a limited time.
- IP address. It is used to allow one demo at a time per address and to space starts at least 30 seconds apart. The demo service keeps it in memory while your session runs and during that short wait. It is not written to files or logs by the application. Your demo instance also receives it as the address of your requests, so it may appear there (for example in the audit log), and it is deleted together with the instance.
- Server logs. The web server in front of the demo keeps a standard access log (IP address, time, requested address, browser information) for up to 14 days, to keep the demo secure and to investigate abuse.
- Cookie.
bsp_demo_session connects your browser to your instance. It is technical and necessary, so no consent is needed, and it expires when your session ends.
- What you enter. Everything you type in the demo (admin account, monitors, settings) lives only in your instance's temporary storage and is deleted when the session ends, after the time limit or when you press End demo. Please use made-up data. Monitors and notifications you set up can contact addresses you choose.
- Statistics. I count demos started, failed and ended, with times and durations. These records contain no IP addresses or session identifiers.
Purpose and legal basis
I process this data to run the demo, keep it secure and prevent abuse. The legal basis is my legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Giving the data is voluntary, but the demo cannot start without processing your IP address.
Who receives data
- Cloudflare, Inc. as the provider of the network, protection and analytics described above. Cloudflare operates worldwide; its safeguards for transfers are described in its privacy policy.
- mikr.us (UW-TEAM.org), the provider of the server on which the site and demo run. See its privacy policy (in Polish).
I do not sell data and I make no automated decisions about you.
If you write to me
If you email [email protected], I process your address and message to answer you. I keep the conversation as long as needed to handle the matter and for any follow-up, then delete it.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and you can object to it. You also have the right to complain to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). To look up your address in the demo logs, I need that address and the approximate time; logs older than 14 days no longer exist.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.

Kontakt: [email protected]. Polityka dotyczy strony betterstatuspage.dev, dokumentacji pod adresem docs.betterstatuspage.dev i publicznego dema pod adresem demo.betterstatuspage.dev.
Ta strona i dokumentacja
Włączone jest Cloudflare Web Analytics: liczy odwiedziny i mierzy szybkość stron bez plików cookie i, według Cloudflare, bez zapisywania adresów IP.
Linki do GitHuba, dokumentacji i innych stron prowadzą do usług z własnymi politykami.
Publiczne demo
Usługa dema trzyma go w pamięci, gdy trwa Twoja sesja i podczas tego krótkiego odstępu. Aplikacja nie zapisuje go w plikach ani logach.
Cel i podstawa prawna
Przetwarzam te dane, żeby prowadzić demo, dbać o jego bezpieczeństwo i zapobiegać nadużyciom. Podstawą jest mój prawnie uzasadniony interes (art. 6 ust. 1 lit. f RODO).
- mikr.us (UW-TEAM.org), dostawca serwera, na którym działa strona i demo. Zobacz jego politykę prywatności.
Nie sprzedaję danych i nie podejmuję wobec Ciebie zautomatyzowanych decyzji.
Gdy do mnie piszesz
Jeśli napiszesz na [email protected], przetwarzam Twój adres i wiadomość, żeby Ci odpowiedzieć. Rozmowę przechowuję tak długo, jak potrzeba do załatwienia sprawy i ewentualnych dalszych pytań, a potem ją usuwam.
Twoje prawa
